You are an amazing woman Tracie, with amazing insight.

I keep using bandaids on the deep wounds in my life and God keeps trying to get me to sit still long enough to let him heal me. I don't know how.....

That's great. I've been really annoyed and irritated lately. Perfect timing to hear the truth about Oysters. HA! So to answer your question, yes, it speaks to my heart even more when the true facts are known. LOL!

I don't even know what to say Love. I don't like to debate. All that comes to mind is that I didn't write this quote. What I have learned is that not all humans are ignorant but scared. We keep what we want to believe as a safety blanket because we can only take so much of the unknown or the truth. That is why God's grace is available.

There is nothing defective about the oyster... it's an annoyed (irritated) oyster that produces a smooth hard covering around the grain of sand that was irritating it's tender membrane that produced the pearl.

Very few pearls are 'perfect', as man defines it, many hundreds of pearls are 'imperfect'/defective and get thrown out so that one in a thousand might have value...

much like people.

in the olden days the (perfect, healthy, but annoyed) oyster had to die so the pearl would be recovered. Some still do even today.

Does the quote still speak to your heart the same way when the true facts are known??

Humans are so good at hearing only what they want to hear, knowing only what they want to know, believing only what they want to believe.

Ahh, no I don't miss winter. But I miss the other 3 seasons. I really do. Still after many years here I long for a fall even though it usually is just a later summer. Sad :(

I have lots of family down in that area. I actually grew up in Lapeer, in Metamora. I have family in Lake Orion, Fenton, White Lake and Howell, and more! Big family, lol! So, how's Georgia compared to Michigan? I don't think I could give up my four seasons. I'm one of those crazy people who actually likes the snow!
